Staff Details

Overview:

The Staff Details page includes a screen 'area' similar to one below. Within here you manage the following details for staff members:

  • contact information

  • roles

  • labour rates

  • calendar colours

  • access privileges

There are variations in the complete page view presented, depending on the process previously selected in the main Staff page.

  • If you selected the 'staff name' link, it titles the page with the staff name and allows you to View/Edit staff details.

  • If you selected the Plus button, it titles the page 'Create New Staff' and allows you to enter NEW staff details.

Both variations are shown and described below.

Descriptions:

A) Staff Details (when the 'staff name' link is selected in the main Staff page)

This screen is presented to View/Edit staff details. It contains all the information previously setup for the staff member. The details will initially be greyed-out/non-editable until you click the Edit button.

ps. Annotations in screenshots (numbers/boxes) are used as a reference for the related descriptions that follow (e.g. #1, #2 etc).

  • #3a - Revoke Access disables the staff from using Sparky

  • #3b - The Calendar Colour is uniquely auto-generated across all staff members. You can click the colour to change it to a preferred colour.

  • #3c - The Security Privileges drop-down list offers 3 options (shown below).

    The table below this, lists each Role (highlighted in yellow) and details the standard access privileges per role within the Description column.

    After you select either the Staff/Sub-contractor Role or the Staff/Sub-Contractor Role (Limited) from the drop-down list, you are presented with additional access privilege options (shown below).

    Select any checkbox to provide that functionality to the new staff member, which is in addition to their standard access privileges (see #3c).

B) Staff Details (when the 'Plus button' is selected in the main Staff page)

This screen is presented to Create New Staff. Please see the description above to manage the content (as it's the same). The only variation in this view, from the View/Edit screen, is that the opening contents are blank and the 'Revoke Access' button is not present (as it is ready for entering new staff details).
